You're invited!
Once a week, I publish creative writing tips and tools pulled directly from my book, Mystic Storyteller, on Substack. That’s where I also publish my Haint Bluesletter where you’re invited for a visit to my little house in the South. While we wander through its rooms and spaces, we’ll talk about storytelling, folklore, books, film, tarot, astrology, and more. Before you leave, I’ll reward your curiosity with a gift to stoke your creative fires.
I believe in the magic of storytelling through words, art, imagination, and beyond. I long for the immersive transcendence of reading. I am connected to a universe of stories, many of them waiting to be written by me.
I’m Amanda Hughes, but you can call me Mandy.
As a novelist, I help people imagine. As an instructional designer, I’ve spent decades helping people learn. As a Mystic Storyteller, I help people discover.
I’m so glad you’re here.
